Hot Cocoa Meringues

Whip up these fancy delicacies for a sophisticated take on a bedtime snack. 


  • 3 egg whites

  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup Original Dream Powder

  • 1/4 cup hot water


  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks. Add the cream of tartar and continue beating until the egg whites are stiff and glossy.

  3. Gradually add the sugar, a little at a time, while continuing to beat the egg whites until they are stiff and glossy. Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.

  4. In a separate small bowl, mix together the Dream Powder and hot water until smooth. Gently fold this mixture into the egg whites until well combined.

  5. Drop spoonfuls of the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, making sure to leave some space between them, since they will spread while baking.

  6. Bake the meringues in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until they are dry and crisp on the outside.

  7. Once the meringues are done, turn off the oven and allow them to cool completely in the oven with the door closed.
